WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

I never did anything like this before, how does this all work?

All we ask you to do is:

*Pack-up your media and bring it to us.

(If there is a specific way you would like your files to be transferred (as example by years), we ask you to mark and sort the media your-self (as example with sticky notes, stickers or sharpie) prior to bringing them in.)

*No need to make an appointment, just come by with your media whenever it is a good time for you.

We are open Monday - Friday 9am - 4:45pm.

*In our lobby, we'll review what you brought and briefly explain the entire process..

*After you leave, one of our techs will roughly count your media (such as pictures, slides, or negatives) and provide an estimate.

The estimate will reflect the approximate cost of your order, but it may change if repairs are needed or if additional requests are made.

We ask customers to reply / approve this estimate, before we change it into an Invoice and start to work the order.

If we don’t get a approved reply, we will not start with the order.

*Once your order is approved, we will begin working on it.

Once your order is finished, we'll contact you with a final invoice.

You can pay this invoice online or in our lobby when you pick up your order.

*We accept all major Credit Cards & Cash (No Checks)

*We will hand all media back to you, after we are finished with the order and the invoice is paid.


Name / Label my Files

Often we get asked:

can you name my files with whatever is labeled on my tape/Case?

Or how do i know what file goes with which media?

Fact is: Computers cant handle long filenames very well.

Also sometimes we cant even read the labels because they are faded or damaged or even missing.

To safe time and frustration, we implemented a clever labeling system.


We label your media with our stickers. Those labels contain the Year, Invoice and Media-Number as shown in this example:

Your digitized files will look like in this example:

You will be able to watch, rename, share, copy & even delete (*no protection)

We will delete all your files from our Server after 90 days.

If you need any additional copies after that time period, you will have to provide the digital files we originally gave you. Alternatively we can redo the whole order.

We highly recommend that you copy all your digital contents to a safe place (backup), then lock-up your Flash-drive for safekeeping.


SORTING

If there is a specific way you would like your files to be transferred (as example by years),

we ask you to mark and sort the media your-self (as example with sticky notes) prior to bringing them in.

We can sit down with you and help you sort. We will however charge you $95 each hour. (1 hour minimum charge)


Can I review my order?

Most customer do this at home.

You are welcome to bring in your own Notebook/Laptop to review your order, on your own.

We will not provide a review station, neither help with setup/breakdown.


Can I bring my own USB Flashdrive / Harddisc?

For your & our safety, we don’t accept any personal storage devices.
